Meghan and Sarah at CDA today.

These are the two sweet girls adopted from China. Meghan was very upset after she saw that the photo cut out her doggy. So I made her very happy with the next picture. :D

This is what I looked at pretty much all day. It's the busiest time for me at OSU-

scholarship selection.

I am screening 200 apps (there were 3000 total) trying to find 50-60 to interview for the Presidential scholarship - full ride. So much drivel I read - one student even said the reason why their grades were so good is that they were really talented at sucking up. no joke. Let's give that kid $95,000. sure.

Spa Dentistry

Even the bathroom is like a spa. Beautiful.

These pictures will not do this place justice.

I went to the dentist today - yuck. Had to get a new, resin filling.

It's like a spa - complete with a menu of services when you walk in. The waiting room is unbelieveable. 2 flat screen tv's that display artwork when you don't want to watch the TV.

This is an amazing operation - beautiful surroundings, excellent credentials, but they just cannot get rid of the damn stinky drill.

My dentist's name you ask....???? Dr. Love. Yep. :D

Friday Festivities

After a late start day (2-hr delay for school), we picked up Olivia's friend Marissa and went to watch Balletmet's open rehearsal for Cinderella. The dancers were A-ma-zing. We then went to dinner at Boston's then back to the Wards for brownies and dance DVD's. Even Omar likes Marissa. :)

Schotts

After walking to the garage to go home today, slipping -gracefully mind you- on the roof of the garage, digging my car out of the snow - I headed to pick up Olivia from school and get the heck home. I always pass the Schottenstein Arena on the way and snaped this shot - Ha!

Back to Work

It was the first day back in my office (yesterday) since last Tuesday; Wednesday was a retreat at the Longaberger House, then I was sick the rest of that week. Monday was a holiday so my desk - neat and tidy - awaited. Lovely digs huh?

Finding Stuff

MLK Day was spent dropping Liv off to CDA for a performance at the King Arts Complex to celebrate the holiday - while Jeff and I worked on our 3rd bedroom, getting it ready for Mary's visit in February. We went through boxes and totes filled with all kinds of things - this was one of our favs!

A Day for Soup

Since we are all trying to recover from colds, stomach flu, sore throats, etc... I decided to make a big pot of homemade chicken soup. It was delicious- even though I could not eat very much of it. Hopefully we will all be on the mend soon.

So - This has pretty much been what I have been looking at since Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, it was freezing outside. Ha

A Trip to Cincinnati

Stevie - This one's for you!

Olivia, Shirley and I drove to Cincinnati this morning so that Liv could audition for the BalletMet 2011 Summer Intensive program. We had to go to Cincinnati for the audition because she could not make the 2 Columbus dates (due to another audition and DanceScope). We now must wait 2 weeks to get the word as to whether or not she is in for the summer.

The tutu'd pigs were a plus! Enjoy Stevie - but please don't cry! ;)

Costumes arrived for Olivia's competition jazz number - a piece called "Tea Party" taken from the Alice and Wonderland soundtrack by Kerli. Have to put up 2 pics today - too cute!

Dance Club

Some days 'ya just don't wanna get outta bed.

After a slow start to the day, Olivia and I met up with some friends. We all used to work together at Accent on Wildbirds in Grandview- Belinda was visiting from New Mexico and taking a break from her B&B business and it was a good excuse to spend some time together.

How ironic that I picked this template for my blog - The first day of 2011 was a gray, rainy one. Jeff and I started taking down Christmas lights while Olivia hung out (from yesterday) at her friend Andie's house all day. Omar was very happy to see her when she got home. :) -Thanks for the reminder Stevie!
